Brass

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, made and worked as well by the Markish as by the dwarves and the Skelds. It is made by heating copper with calamine. Zinc is implied as a component of brass, but it has not been isolated and is not known as a metal. Its purposes and fabrication are much like those of the mundane world.

Brass can be manufactured to look very like gold, but density is the key to detecting a forgery.
