Cut or broken pieces of silver valued by weight rather than form.

Use

Hacksilver is a materially grounded fallback that allows flexibility in the size of a transaction. Unlike a Cultural Token, its value persists regardless of damage, but weighing and verification are required. It is common in frontier and degraded monetary environments. Among the Skelds some rings are made to be broken for it.
