Skelds

An honor-based, Viking-resonant people of warriors, farmers, tradesmen, and rough artisans.

Livelihood

The Skelds are not miners. They are warriors, farmers, tradesmen, and rough artisans, and on occasion, in the strict sense of the word, they go viking.

Craft

For practical uses, where art is not implied, the Skelds make rough work. In certain key activities they excel: gem engraving, scrimshaw, and other very specific fine work.

Character

Skeldic culture is honor-based, and the acknowledgment of loyalty is important. The primary honor model depends on tradition, martial ability, and excellence in some craft area. It is important to be known for something other than war.

Ring-sworn rituals are Skeldic, and only Skeldic. They touch upon interactions with the gods.
